soo i pretty much screwed myself over when i applied for schools. around nov/dec i decided i probably want to major in engineering (mech or envr), but the only schools i applied to that had any engineering programs were tufts, lehigh, and gw. ive gotten into colgate, bc, gw, lehigh, and waiting on tufts - but the thing is that none have strong engineering programs. though lehighs is pretty good, jhu's is better. i got waitlisted. is it worth the shot to put down the deposit, or will tufts or lehigh be fine?

what kind of engineering do you want to do?

Pay the deposit for Tufts or Lehigh first…that way you can still be on the waitlist if you want, and don’t have to risk the chance of losing all your choices.

Btw, I applied to Tufts as well. Best of luck to you and me tomorrow! ;)

Idk, waitlisting can cause so much more unnecessary stress. i would just choose a college that you already got into and settle everything down. the chances of them even having spots available for waitlists is so low that its not even worth it.

The 50 people who came off the waitlist last year would probably say different. I don’t see how it would hurt to stay on.

^ Agreed. If you really want to go to JHU, pay your deposit elsewhere so you have somewhere to go and then remain on the waitlist. Might as well, if you really want to go to JHU next fall!

mech & environmental. and yeah, seems like everyone has applied to tufts this year. i think if i get into tufts i wont go on the waitlist, if i dont then i will. thanks
