I took the SAT and got a 2160 my first time (730 writing, 760 math, and 670 reading), but I am not sure if i should retake it on Oct 1. I know I can do better in writing and math, but I felt that this time my reading I did better than I usually do. If I did do a little better in the first two sections, but drop in my reading, will it look bad? Also, how would I submit my October scores to the colleges and would they be superscored with my original?

What colleges are you planning on applying to? 2160 / 1430 SAT is a great score for pretty much all schools, but if you’re applying to a top top school such as Swarthmore or Yale, then you could boost your chances even more by raising your CR and writing. Math is pretty much perfect.

Well, I’m aiming for schools like Yale and Stanford right now. I doubt I can do much better at CR (I’ve tried many many times), but I am pretty confident I can raise the others. I am not really sure how big of a factor superscoring, so that’s why I’m asking these questions. Thanks though :]
