Would 1 F on Transcript rescind my admission?

Hi, I have been recently panicking about my current precalculus/trig class as an elective for this 1st semester as a senior. This is because I currently have a 73% in that class and if i fail my final, I would end up with an "F" because of our stupid "No "D" policy". So far I have been accepted to Cal State Fullerton for Health Science major, and I am still waiting for some other colleges to respond back. My transcripts look pretty good with no D's or F's, a couple C's here and there, but mostly all A's and B's. I just want to know if my admission to CSUF would be rescinded if i happened to get this F in my precalculus class as an elective.

An F isn’t really good, but most colleges in my experience tend to send rescind letters if there is a marked decline in grades. Is there any chance that you can bring it up? An F probably won’t kill you but if you can at all avoid getting one then you should.

Obviously.

i talked to my counselor about this and she said almost the same thing as u did, that it prolly wont kill me since my transcript looks pretty decent, and my precal class is an elective. and my grades for math have always been an A or B so this is the first decline

It’s a pretty big decline though, you have to admit.

ya, i guess so, its just REALLY hard cuz my teacher is sorta bad at explaining stuff

That’s what I thought, but you really need to cope with this. You might get a lot of professors like that in college, depending on your luck, and you don’t want to get an F each and every time you get a professor that’s hard to understand.

yea. i know thanks for the feedback. i just hope i can still make it IF i happen to fail this stupid final :[

Hi,
I have all A’s on my transcript but a couple of F which I have replaced with A does it affect my chances for admissions into a good and well recognized university like Southern Methodist University???

You WILL get professors like that in college. Or furthermore, you will get TA’s like that in college. Don’t get bogged down by it, but realize that you shouldn’t complain about the lack of proper instruction given by your teacher throughout the course. If your teacher sucks, then it’s on you. After all, it’s all ultimately on you anyway. You need to get used to the bad cards you get dealt and work with it. Complaining is a sure fire way to get killed by the next poor instructor, and the next, and the next, etc.

Killer69, you’ll have to ask the college how they will look at Fs replaced by As. Try their admissions office.
