I got 85 (which is a high B) in my English12.
Would it hurt my chance of getting accepted by UofC????
Should I retake it???

Is this a joke?

One B is not going to make any difference. I got several Bs (not to mention a C+ or two) in high school and still made it in to Chicago. If you’re the kind of person who’s so used to straight As that you’re freaking out over an 85, your grades are not going to be a problem when it comes to applying.

D’oh. Didn’t you know that a B essentially puts you out of the running at any T25 university (as fallacious as the rankings are)?

OP, you’re just letting the admissions counselors know you’re human. Don’t worry so much. They’re human too!

S1 had plenty of Bs. Plenty of other compensating goodies, too. PLEASE do not freak out about a B. It may be your first, but it will not be your last over your academic career.
