I’m planning on transferring to a different university next fall, and a few weeks back I sent a stupid email asking a question because I asked a few supposedly reliable sources at my current university about it and they gave me inaccurate information. If what they had told me was true, I would not have been able to transfer next fall because they told me my university doesn’t post final grades on time for me to send a final transcript on time. I’ve asked others since then because I never heard back from the university, and apparently the people who are supposed to know all about grading deadlines at the university gave me inaccurate information. In the email I sent to the transfer admissions, I probably sounded really desperate because the information I was originally told would have prevented me from being able to transfer. Will this have a negative impact on my chances of being able to transfer when they review my application?
no negative impact
As long as you were polite and professional in your email, I don’t see as it would have an effect.
Just be sure to check your grammar in your future emails. For example, how to use affect/effect.
Example: “A poorly worded email can affect an admission officer’s opinion. The effect could be a denial.”
I was just in a hurry to type my original post, lol. Of course I checked my grammar when I emailed them.
