Would a group interview lower admit chance to the students?

I have a question regarding planning an interview trip.
My twins and I plan on on-campus interview on Nov, and we are flying from CA to the eastcoast. We have a few friends who are also applying to the similar bs, and they want to come together as a group. It will be three families, with 4 applicants, as 9th graders.

My concern is this:
Would this type of group interview lower individual studen's chance to be admitted, since
we all are asians, straight As with musical talents, and some with athletic talents?
I am afraid we are too homogenious group...

I'd be very much appreciated your suggestion.

Thanks.

It would probably because they want to see what talents you have not the other people. I have heard of stories where one twin got in and the other got rejected or waitlisted. Also I don’t think you are allowed to have an interview together as a group.

Yeah…even if you all go and tour together (and are allowed to all tour together…they do limit the number of families/appointments each day) , you’re still going to all be interviewed separately.

I have twins who applied. At each school, their interviews were with different admissions people and they were generally conducted at the same time (in different offices).

THanks. I called three BS and they told me that we would probably get tour as a group, but each family would get a separate interview. SO I guess we are OK.
