Would a statistics minor be useful?

I have been calculating how many credits from APs I can enter a certain college with, and it seems like I might have room to do a minor. How useful would a statistics minor be, in terms of helping me in the job world? It would be coupled with a compsci major. Do compsci and statistics go well together, as in what I learn in the statistics courses can help me with what I do in compsci (in jobs, particularly)?

A statistics minor might help you dance your way into an operations research job at some point.

That being said, I usually don’t advocate minoring (or anything else besides doing good in one major) in order to make one’s resume look better. Research, work experience, meaningful ECs… these are what will help you get good jobs, not taking classes outside your major discipline.

In any field where needing to make sense of trends, or a mass of numbers, is important.

Would a statistics minor be more useful than a math minor?

For getting a specific statistics-related job. For graduate school in anything but statistics, general employability etc… a minor in math is probably more “useful”. Which minor requires the courses you’re most interested in?
