Would a Vespa be a stupid thing to use to get around at Cal?

I know some people said that there are a lot of hills at Cal (i've toured it) but I was wondering if any people have any kind of scooter or Vespa at Berkeley or would it be totally impractical?

No.

My friend (chinese guy from Atlanta) had a Vespa. It looked kinda odd cus all our friends had the dropped acuras, integras, hondas, gxers, n stuff, but I came to understand that Vespas are a cool and eccentric brand of vehicular transportation (like Morrisey or the Smiths of Transportation). Scooters would be perfect for food runs... visiting friends... going to class...etc.

Yeah, I mean a car at Cal would be totally impractical for a freshman, not to mention how difficult/expensive it would be to park it. But with a Vespa, how would I store it? Would I lock it to a bike rack or put it in my room (it would most likely take up a lot of room in a dorm)?

I dunno. I know there is a lot more parking for scooters n motocycles on campus. my friends would ride their scooters to class...
