4 = fail minorly
5-7 = marginal pass (aligns to europe E, america C-/D)
8-10 = pass third class (europe D, america C/C-)
11-13 = pass 2:2 (europe C, america B/C+)
14-16 = pass 2:1 (europe B, america A/B+)
17-20 = pass first class (europe A, america A+/A)
This is that grade sccale that they use for transfer grades. What abot what they consider the American grades to be ? This is not a a linear grade scale.</p>

<p>The scale of 1-20 is how most European countries give grades. 20 being highest, 1 lowest obviously. And they don't get a lot of 20s at good schools; I believe the average is about 12-16. Ask a European-language teacher at your school. I learned this in French.</p>
