Would an American born to Iranian immigrants be considered URM

Would an American born to Iranian immigrants be considered an URM in UCLA??

URM is African American and Hispanic. So no.

i think it’s just racist that they exclude middle eastern people

I think its racist they even consider all of this as a factor in letting people into college.

But we wont go there…

NayLo are you being sarcastic? Middle Easterners aren’t really underrepresented lol

honestly affirmative action just be thrown out the window we should not let race be a factor…coming from another persian kid

middle eastern people are not under-represented because generally they are hard working and dont make excuses of why they were unable to accomplish something

for christ’s sake we elected the first black president that clearly illustrates that if someone works hard enough they too can succeed in life----lets stop making excuses and just accept the fact that lazyness/ lack of desire is the true reason that URM’s (in general NOT All but most )are under represented because they dont really want to put in the effort
