Would Animation count as an a-g course?

It's kind of a visual art.

Does your school indicate that the course meets any a-g requirement? If they do, then it would.

I am out of state.

It would certainly fit as a category g - elective - but to fit as category f you would need to have taken a year total of visual arts classwork - for example a semester of drawing and this animation class would together be counted as cat f.

The best way to find out would be to talk to your counselor - even if you are out of state, chances are people from your school apply to the UC system. I made that mistake in high school, and assumed computer programming would count, but ended up having to take a course at a cc my senior year to graduate.

Also, what counts as a-g changes more often that you would think. For example, my junior year, tons of people in my grade took multimedia even though it wasn’t a-g because it was the easiest/most fun class on campus. The next year, they sent the class for approval, and from then on, it counted as a-g…but the people who took it before that got nothing! Even though they didn’t change the class at all!
