<p>I don't know if it is too controversial of a topic. Nevertheless, I thought it was very well written. I didn't find any writing errors except I would have put quotation marks around the slang words used in the third paragraph. They tell you to write something from your heart, something no one else could imitate, something that tells the ad-coms who you are. I feel that you did a good job doing so. The colleges you are sending this to should, as you said, be open minded enough to appreciate your essay.</p>

<p>I'm not going to be able to respond to all of you via PM in terms of your thoughts on both the topic and the execution, but I want to go ahead and say that I really appreciate all the help, and think I'm going to cross my fingers and use the essay (an edited version of it, that is), for at least a few of my applications. That's not to say that I'm set on it, of course, so anyone who's read it and thinks that might not be a good idea, please tell me so.</p>
