I really want to go to Carnegie for business but i hear Tepper is really hard to get into. I wanted to ask would it be easier to apply to engineering and try to double major into business?

Both are pretty hard to get into. It depends on your interests, strengths, application, etc.

You can apply to both.

If you already have all the science and math AP and grades for CIT, then you’ll be a very attractive Tepper applicant.

Your essay needs to be crystal clear why you are interested in both - not either or.

CIT has higher acceptance rates but simultaneously higher GPA/SAT averages. Tepper’s acceptance rate will go even further down from this year’s because we had too many people in our class this year. Thus Leadership, Extracurriculars, Soft-Skills, Etc are seriously emphasized in Tepper Applications.

Keep that in mind.
