Would Cornell Rescind Me?

I was recently accepted to Cornell Early Decision in the School of Arts and Sciences - Before this year, I had a 3.95 GPA unweighted (2 B’s total).

My senior classes are really difficult and my grades have been slipping - because I was accepted into the school with a high GPA, would I get rescinded for getting 3 B’s and 4 A’s first semester?

no. congrats on your acceptance!

I second the no.

Absolutely not. You will be fine.

Just out of curiosity, what would cause Cornell to rescind a student’s acceptance? How bad do your grades have to get?

Failing your classes, getting in trouble with the law, finding out you cheated on SAT/ACT/AP exam, finding out you plagiarized your admissions essay. But a C in a class won’t rescind you.

Good thread! I was going to ask this question too

I just want to let people know that a C, in certain cases, is pushing it. Someone I know got a call from Cornell because they had a C.

keep it limited to As and Bs!
