The reason I want to do both is because I enjoy philosophy the most but don't see the greatest career potential after graduating. Business economics (the actual name of the major), on the other hand, seems tedious but definitely doable (and enjoyable depending on the class), and the top of our class at UCLA get recruited by Goldman Sachs and a bunch of other top firms straight out of undergrad. I'm set on going into the business field in general and would not want to go to graduate school for philosophy. So I'm wondering which one, or both, would look the best to a top-tier MBA program/firm, and whether or not pursuing a double major is something that is worth the extra focus and having to give up the range of electives that I could take instead. I realize that double majoring could potentially make your GPA drop, but would the having completed two majors nullify this to any extent? Just looking for a few tips from people who have completed either or both of the majors and could vouch for why they are or are not worth pursuing. Thanks.
