Would getting a worse SAT Subject test score affect my college chances

I’m currently a senior in HS. I originally had a 740 Bio SAT from August, decided to retake it in October and to meet application deadlines, decided to send my scores before getting them. I ended up with a 730, and now I have to send my 740 also. Would colleges look down at this? (i.e. I should’ve scored better the second time, ended up scoring worse)

No

Although likely Irrelevant, the more interesting question is if if is worth sending the first score.

No, almost any school will look at your highest score.

A 730 and 740 are so close that a college is not going to wonder, especially since it’s a subject test and you started out at 740. Most colleges want to give the benefit of the doubt to students and will take the hightest as RichiPitt posted.
