Would i be able to get into any college if I failed a class?

I failed a class freshman year. My grades have improved throughout all of highschool. However, i feel like that is gonna really mess up my chances. Im not trying for anything prestigious. Just a state school maybe. My grades are average like all low 80s- low 90s. Even a not-prestigious state school is fine i dont need anything with a big school reputation

Is there any way you can retake the class to get a new grade?

I retook it sophomore year and got a better grade. But still i failed it freshman year so i feel like colleges will see that and automatically reject me

You will get into college. Don’t worry. What is your cumulative grade now? High 80s low 90s?

If you’re wondering, she failed it freshman year, summer school, and sophomore year. She finally passed it that year in summer school. She failed algebra 1. Almost failed chemistry and geometry too. Currently maintains straight Cs. So yes you can get into college.
