Hi,

I have decided that Vanderbilt is my absolute first choice and am going to apply in the EDI round.

I am applying to Peabody as a Secondary Education major.

I am a male. White European, White Middle Eastern, and unenrolled Native American (Quechua, South America). Also first generation to attend college.

My GPA is ~3.69. It is low due to poor grades in my freshman year. I plan on attaching a statement talking about how a matured and improved academically because of a particular teacher, which ultimately influenced my decision to major in education.

As far as testing goes, I'm likely to get a 33 ACT in September. I score high on the English and math sections (34-35) and meh on reading and science (30-32). If I get a 33, I will still test in October to try to get a 34 but will send both scores.

As for SATII's, I got a 780 on Math II and 750 on Chemistry.

(I also had an idea about writing about how important teachers are and how teachers affected me. Thoughts?)

My EC essay will be on my services in student council and my own personal impact on the student body.

So, would I be competitive in EDI? Please be honest.

Than you to those who read this.
