My mom received her undergraduate degree from Williams, and then for law school she attended Cornell. My question is, if I were to apply to Cornell for my undergrad, would I be considered a legacy?

depends on college policy. Some schools consider children of a person holding a degree from any of their schools (grad or undergrad) to be a legacy; others only count as legacies those who have a parent who attended undergrad.

Best bet is to contact Cornell directly.

For Cornell, your parent had to be an undergrad. Sorry.

What about for USC? Does anyone know?

And for Cornell, yeah, I'm pretty sure for undergrad, your parent also has to be undergrad.

Thanks so much for the replies!
