Would I be considered a URM?!

<p>Both of my parents were born in Cuba and I am the first generation if my family to be born in the U.S. As a Cuban-American, would I be considered a URM under the hispanic section?</p>

<p>Hello and welcome, I have moved your thread to the Hispanic Students forum. </p>

<p>Please read post #1 of the above link. If you identify as Hispanic, then yes, you would be considered Hispanic for the college admission process. The Common Application has a drop down box in which you indicate your Hispanic background, ie. Cuba.</p>

<p>Please see the Resources sticky thread at the top of this forum, it has lots of information about past results, scholarships, summer opportunities, fly-ins, etc.</p>
