Hello all, I’m a senior whose midterm report card will bear a 2.85 unweighted GPA and a 3.8 weighted gpa thanks to taking a full IB course load. Would this result in being rescinding if I were to be admitted? Furthermore, should I contact the university to tell them this? Thank you so much.
Your midyear grades aren’t sent to UCs. The only grades they will receive are your senior year final transcript, which you’ll send to them if you are admitted.
For the past few years, UCB’s provisional admission contract has stated you need to maintain a 3.0 unweighted GPA Senior year. This means a cumulative GPA of 3.0 so work hard to get your grades up by year’s end. If you receive any grade lower than a C Senior, you do not need to contact all the UC’s. Is this the case?
No, I have no D’s: 2 C’s, 4 B’s and 1 A.
I am taking IB Math HL 2, IB Spanish HL 1, IB History HL 2, IB English HL 2, IB Theory of Knowledge, AP Physics C, and AP Psychology.
So in order to maintain any provisional admissions offers, I must ensure that I do better next semester to maintain an overall 3.0 unweighted gpa across both semesters? Thank you for your response.
