I applied to Princeton this year. I really wanted to hear from current students if I have a chance. Be brutally honest. I can take it. But no mean comments :D

I know that many HIGHLY qualified applicants get rejected. Should I even consider the slightest possibility of an acceptance letter, or should I just stop thinking about Princeton?
Btw, last year, 10 people applied from our school and one person got in. This year, about 20 students applied from my school. None of them were SCEA though, but some are more qualified than I am.

You appear to be a qualified applicant. You might be accepted and you might not. You can be confident, though, that they won’t toss your application as if you’re unqualified. Good luck.

Here’s some advice: stop spinning your wheels on CC and go enjoy life. Wondering at this point whether or not a college with an under 7% admit rate takes you is going to do WHAT, for you?

Seriously, go enjoy your last few mos. of HS, your friends and teachers, your family. YOu’ve done all you can do. Now go away and come back in April to share your good news

It sounds like you are going through what most applicants experience while they are waiting for an admission decision…lots of questions! It’s understandable given how much you have poured into your high school years and probably into your application as well. You do appear qualified (as are many others); I’d encourage you to treat Princeton as a reach school - which it is for pretty much everyone - and focus on your safeties for now.
