<p>im in 11th grade and i would say im an okay student
i REALLY want to go to stony brook and nyu but nyu just seems too expensive at the moment
if i do get in im depending on scholarships and loans but thats not my main concern right now lol
i want to know if i have a chance at getting into either of these colleges
so heres where i am:
i have an avg of about 93
i have taken the SAT once in january
my scores were 550 CR 660 Writing and 720 Math
i know i have improved a lot since then and i am taking them again next week and i am aiming for a 2100 or higher hopefully
now i have also taken SAT IIs
Chemistry 710
Math lvl 1 710
Math lvl 2 720
i also took ACTs but that was just a trial test it was my first time even looking at how the ACTs were i ddnt have time to study for it b/c of my midterms and i ended up with a 27
i also have APs
AP Calc AB 4
AP Chem 3 (i took it again this yr n i am hoping for a 5)
AP Calc BC (hoping for a 5 this yr)
AP Physics C Mechanics (hoping for a 3 or 4 lol! it was hard)
im also planning on taking AP Bio Psychology and one more AP next yr
i have done a lot of community service work at my local center
they teach kids different subjects and all during the weekends and i have also helped them during the summer
im planning on also working at the hospital this summer
i also participated in the model UN in 9th grade
i was in the student government in 9th and 10th grade
i was in the science olympiad in 9th grade
i participated in the chem olympiad in 10th and 11th and got in the high 30s n to get to the 2nd round you need about a 42
i was in the physics olympiad and got a b/w a 12 and 13 n to get to the second round you need about a 14 or 15
my poem also got published once but i heard thats not very significant since many people have gotten their poems published before
i cant remember anything else right now so what are my chances of getting in?</p>
<p>I don’t know much about Stony Brook, but I think that 550 CR will hurt you at NYU. Bring it up.</p>
