Any suggestions for me ? What types of students does Wesleyan look for ?

Wes is not need-blind for internationals which means you have to factor in the number of people who are qualified not only in terms of Wesleyan’s regular admissions standards but also in comparison to the enormous number of applicants who will also be applying for FA. I don’t mean to discourage anyone with the ability to actually do the work from applying. But, I’d say superficially, that Wesleyan is in the reach category for you.

Thank you for your sincere suggestions. I truly understand that I am in a big disadvantage applying for Financial aid. However, regardless of Financial aid, how academically fit am I for Wesleyan, do you think ?

There’s little question in my mind that you’re capable of doing the work. The hard part is standing out from the rest of a crowded field. You seem to have moved around quite a bit in your young life. Perhaps you can work that into an essay. When I look at your OP, the first thing that comes to mind is, “Spanish-speaking Asian”. Perhaps you can pull that into an essay, too.

Thanks for your suggestion again. I will take that into consideration for my essays.

Any other suggestion ?
