Any comments for me ?

Can someone give me a comment ?

Can you guys give me a comment ?

I’m going to say your odds are slim, but there are people who know more than me around. Your Eastern Asian too, aren’t you? (I’m guessing because of the Vietnam reference)

Yeah, my country is considered Southeast Asia.

So what do you think I can do to improve my chance ?

Any other suggestion ?

Have great essays and great recommendations. I would also focus on volunteer and getting a job (looks good, lol)

Thanks a lot. So do you think with my academic credentials, I still have a shot ?

Plus, how many rec letters are recommended ? I know 3 are standard with 2 from teachers and 1 from counselor. I want to have a mentor rec letter and a peer rec letter. Will it be ok too ? Will 5 be too many ?

well, your academics may not be as strong as those of the top applicants, but hey, you never know until you try!

I’m thinking 5 will definitely be too many, and usually universities don’t consider a peer rec letter appropriate. I’d say just stick with the 3 standard.

How about a mentor’s rec letter ? I am gonna do some internships so I want to have my mentor write me rec letter. Will it be ok ?
