Would I make a good candidate for Out-of-state admission to Tech?

Really love the school and the prestige it brings along with it. I am an IB diploma candidate and am really only considering this university and my state's flagship for Engineering.
SAT: 2070 Math + Reading = 1410
ACT: 31 Math - 34 Reading - 33
3.77 UGPA -> Some people just tell me to say 3.8
Rigor of courses: I personally think the magnet program that I am in provides the most rigorous PUBLIC SCHOOL education that I can find in my county let alone state.
ECs: Football for 4 years, I might be made a varsity captain.
300 hours of volunteering, mostly working with children at summer camps of many varieties.
Sports section writer for my school newspaper.
Math Honor Society
National Honor Society
Cinematography Club that I started with my friends
Track & Field
I've taken 5 AP tests. All 5's except for a 3 on Physics: Mechanics - But I don't think this is important is it?
----> I'm the first person in my family to go to an actual college/university. My family immigrated to the US. But my parents got online degrees? So I don't know if that will negate my status, hopefully it won't.

Seeing that your out of state your Gonna need a 750+ math to boost your chances to the max. However your circumstances and ethnicity seem to be a hook so lower scores should be fine

Lanie49, I’m sorry… I’m Asian.

The link provided by Veruca above gives freshman info from 2013. Hopefully the link provided in my post will bring you to 2014 info which is a bit different. (acceptance rate decreased to 33% from 41%)
I think you have a fair shot for EA (definitely apply EA!!!), but if you want more certainty, try to get your SAT over 2150 or ACT 32+)
They also will take the best scores from ACT and SAT and combine them for a superscore so you may already be there.
What was your CR and Math breakdown on SAT. Did you do ACT writing?

No, the 3 on physics is not important. Do send in your AP scores. They stated that they will not be used against you and may help.

Stilltay, I really don’t think the SAT is my forte, and have no intention of retaking it. But the breakdown was CR - 720 and Math - 690. I think I have a better shot of getting my ACT score up to a 32 or 33.

That was not my main point. You already have an ACT math score of 34 which is excellent. Your SAT verbal converts to about a 32 ACT. You don’t list an ACT english or writing score. Georgia Tech mixes the best scores from the two tests to give you your absolute best possible score. I’m not trying to talk you out of retaking ACT, just saying that you are better off than you think for this particular school. Here is a link to ACT/SAT conversions.

Do u need FA? Does GA Tech give aid to OOS?

GMTplus7, I don’t know the extent to which Tech provides OOS financial aid outside of the Provost Scholarship which covers the OOS cost of attending, making it so that if I did achieve it I would be paying in-state tuition.
Stilltay, I got a 31 on ACT English with a score of 9 on writing/essay.

Remember, GT only considers your Math, English and Writing scores from the ACT.
