Would IB English really benefit me later on?

I've been taking English honors during my Freshmen and Sophomore year and IB English this year and I've gotten all A's in those classes. Right now, I'm debating on whether I should take IB English HL2 next year (senior year). I don't know if it's worth it to stress over it so much. The only reason why I want to take it is because I don't want colleges to think that I'm a slacker during senior year since I've been English honors classes for all 3 other years. I'm taking AP Calculus and AP Physics next year too, but I don't know if it will make up for me not taking IB English. So in your opinion... what do you think I should do? Do you think colleges will care so much about it? I'm thinking of applying for UCI, UCD, UCSB, CSULB, and CSUF next year.

Also, if I take IB English next year, I would have some summer assignments for it. I kinda thought it would be better if I focus more on SAT, ACT, college, and work experience during summer of this year.

so... what route do you think I should take?
Thank you for answering!

Are you going for a full IB diploma or just a certificate?

I’m just doing certificate.

Hmm. I can’t really offer any good advice then, but at least you don’t have an IB diploma at stake if you drop it.

Yup, but thank you for answering! I just don’t want to regret my decision if I were to switch into English CP.
