Right now I'm admitted into the College of Natural Resources and I would want to major in Environmental Sciences. I was thinking about simultaneously majoring with the College of Letters and Science with an Integrative Biology major. I don't necessarily want to be pre-med but I want to go into a research field (maybe medical, still undecided). Would this be worth my time to do both majors. They are slightly different because one has more focus on the environment but they are both really biology...so I'm not sure if I should even try to do both or just choose one. Would it be easier to do both since they are both bio rather then 2 completely different majors?

Start counting courses and units of major requirements, subtracting overlapping requirements (no more than two upper division courses can overlap), and breadth requirements for both L&S and NR to see if can all fit into your 8 (or 9 if you are willing) semester schedule.

With more than one major, in general, you need to schedule carefully so that every course you take fulfills some major and/or breadth requirement.

Thanks!
I know about the limit of overlapping for upper requirements but what about the lower ones like math and chemistry? Can those all overlap?
Also, overall do you think double majoring is worth it in the long run…with two kind of similar majors? Or am I just asking for more work with no benefit?
