I took AP Spanish last yr (my fifth year of spanish) and there is no spanish 6 in my school. One option i have is to self-study lit w/ the spanish lang class but that would be hard b/c i dont have a teacher to moderate me.

OR I can skip a level 1 language class and take french 2 or latin 2 honors. The reason being so that i can get honors credit.

I don't think it would be too difficult if you studied french 1 over the summer and learned the basic grammatical structures and vocab. However, french 1 leaves the foundation for your success in the course, so I wouldn't recommend it. Possible, but not recommended is the short and simple summation of my thoughts.

Agree with ^. I think it would be hard, and it only wouldn't be if you studied French 1 beforehand. I'm in French 2 now and the review for the previous year is short, and there was LOADS of stuff I learned in French 1 that I could not do without in French 2. Could you take French 1 this year, then skip to French 3 next year? I think that would be easier. Or take French 1 this year, French 2 over the summer, French 3 next year.

In my french 1 class there wasn't really anything too difficult to learn... I learned the bulk of what I know my second year. So just learn your basic conjugations and vocab and you should be good. Try talking to the teacher and find out if you could check out a french 1 book to go over anything you realize you don't know in french 2. At first you might feel a little behind, but so long as you do studying on the side you should catch up pretty easily.

I had French I last year and I seriously thought it was rather important in laying out the foundations, but it's your choice. I'm not a "skipper" of courses so meh.

I wouldn't do it - and especially don't skip straight into Honors Latin II.
I, personally, skipped Latin II to go to AP Latin straight out of Latin I, but that's different.. taking the first year of the language is important, and it lays the bare foundations of the langauge [vocab, grammar, etc].
