would it be safe to say . . .

if i still havent received an invite, is it safe to say that i was not accepted to tisch?

no, i didn’t get an invite for steinhardt. i was just accepted today.

did either of you ever hear back from NYU after you applied? I never even got confirmation that they received my application and i haven’t gotten anything in the mail yet.

my school keeps track of what schools receive applications by sending cards that the school signs and returns when they get the transcript

^ my school does the same thing.

you’re supposed to get 4 confirmation e-mails.

wait, 4 confirmation emails from nyu?

noo!! i never got ANY! but the common app said i applied.

i have them saved somewhere.

i know because i only got three, and the fourth one is supposed to contain your NYU ID. so i called up and received my NYU ID like 2 months later lol

honestly, i wouldn’t worry about it. if on your embark application (or common application) it says you submitted and paid… then you did.

Yeah apparently we’re supposed to get some confirmation email from NYU that gives us a NYU portal ID # or something like that after they receive our application.

I didn’t know about this until maybe about 1.5 weeks ago b/c I never got such a thing. I knew I wasn’t missing part of my app either b/c they never contacted me saying so. But just to be safe, I called the admissions office and told them what I just told you guys and they checked for me. Everything was all there :]

So basically, if you didn’t get a confirmation email, don’t panic and think they never got your app or something. From what I saw on the official NYU message boards, a ton of people never got one! :O

thank you everyone! … i like that this site is more helpful than the NYU forums.
