Would it be safer to send October test scores RIGHT after I take them?

Because score comes out on the 30th, and EA/ED deadline is the 1st, right? I wanna see my score before I send it so I guess not? I take the test on the 11th, 'll send it before the 15th? Can I send all the scores on the 15th? Would it be late?
I emailed a few of the colleges say they want to have ample time to receive the test scores.
For example, from UVa:
Please allow plenty of time for scores to be sent to our office from the testing agency and then processed by our staff. We do accept rushed scores sent electronically from the testing agency, however, if the score is received after the application date for which you have applied, we cannot guarantee it will be included in the review of your application.

I don't wanna send my scores before I take them, but just a couple days after, is that fine?

I think I have to send it right after I take it, but I have to send the rest of my scores in September…
From UMich
If I plan to take the ACT or SAT in October, will that score arrive in time to complete my application for Early Action?

Unfortunately, no. If you have previously taken the ACT with Writing or SAT and are taking the test again in October, you must send in your previous scores to complete your application. Once your new test scores from the October exam are received, we will add the new test information to your application and consider that in the review process. On the day of the test you must indicate that you want your scores sent to the University of Michigan so that we will receive them as soon as the scores are available.

And they don’t take Rush reporting.

I’ll have to send them separately I guess then…maybe I should do that for all my ED/EA colleges? That’ll cost more…

It would be free if I send the October one alone before the 20th. I guess I’ll send ALL my scores in September, and then send the October one right after I take it? Collegeboard says that within 9 days after i take it, if I use the 4 extra score reports, which equals 8 (perfect XD), they’ll arrive faster. Am I right?

Would anyone reply?
This is my plan and I need a nod
I will send all my scores to my Early Action and Early Decision colleges after I take the Oct. 11 SAT, I have 9 days to send 8 free test scores, October along with my previous test scores. This shouldn’t be too late. But since UMich doesn’t want me to do that, I’ll send all my available scores in September and then send my October in along with the others
<a href=“Notes from Peabody: The UVA Application Process: The Timing of SAT Score Reports”>Notes from Peabody: The UVA Application Process: The Timing of SAT Score Reports;
This shows that it’ll work I think.
I don’t have to send my October SATs before I take it then right?

your free test scores don’t stack like that. You have to use them right away or you lose them. You get 4 from the october session, not sure where you’re getting 8 from? Nobody is responding because we can’t answer your question, it depends on the college. Only they can tell you if that works.

Oh right. Would it be better for me to send all my scores to all EA/ED colleges in September? (I’ll pay more, it’s fine), and then send the October one exclusively?

score reports are cumulative, so I don’t know what you’re talking about with “exclusively”. You send the report again when the new scores come out. It would be safer to send them all and then send the updated report to those that will still take test scores with your free report.

Like I’ll just send the October score after I take the October one since I would already have sent the rest.

It doesn’t really matter, some schools won’t let you do that, and the price is the same. Just send the score report again with the update.

I see. I thought there are 8 free score reports given to me for the October test?

<a href=“Send SAT Scores to Colleges - SAT Suite | College Board”>The SAT – SAT Suite | College Board; no you get 4 free score reports for each sitting. If you take it in october, you get 4 free score reports.

But when I tried to send it, I have 8, 4 extra for 9 days right?

no, its 4 total, you have from the time you register to 9 days after the test to use them.

Oh ok. Why does it say 8 then? o.o Oh, I have 8 because I used my 4 fee waivers for the tests.

4 originally from where? Im not following you… Each time you take the test you get 4 free score reports, which can be used from the time you register for that test until 9 days after you take the test.

Each test fee waiver gives 4 extra

where does it say 8? Ive never seen that anywhere…

Scroll down

Do you have a fee waiver? That is for individuals that don’t have the funds to pay for testing. You didn’t mention this anywhere. If you have a fee waiver, then yes, you do have 8, but this means you used the fee waiver for the testing itself too. (please mention these things up front, it makes a difference for those trying to help you).

Yea I did. How would you recommend me to send my scores for EA/ED?
I wanna send everything at once but I don’t think that’s the safest way.
