would it be stupid of me to drop AP chemistry?!?!

i am a rising junior at a competitive high school. my schedule is as follows:

-HON Latin 3
-HON precalc
-HON American literature
-AP us history
-AP chemistry

but i dont understand chemistry, the teacher isnt very good, and the text book is confusing. im not sure what i want to go to college for. however, i want to go to a very good college. last year, i took AP biology and scored a 5 and an 800 on the sat subject test. will colleges look down on me for dropping chemistry to take an accelerated course if i did so well in biology?

i am sure i can get an a in accelerated chemistry, and i am already taking a very rigorous schedule. i guess what im saying is, would it be stupid to drop? thanks everyone

don’t take classes you don’t understand. it’s not worth it.
but you should probably ask people if the class gets easier or how hard they had to work to get As. who knows, maybe the teacher gives As to everyone.

Nope wouldn’t be stupid at all, to the contrary if you really know your not going to succeed and your not interested in it, by all means it would be the smartest thing you could do to drop it.

Go for accelerated chemistry so you can get an A in that class and all your other classes.

AP Chem is definitely very tough unless you’re good at Chemistry. If you’re sure that you won’t do well, then drop it.

AP Chemistry is a really easy course. I suggest dropping AP US History instead.

Maybe for you…
