<p>Would it be stupid if I wrote an essay, talking about how I wanted to major in nutrition (and I really, really do, but my father thinks it's a waste of time), and not put it as one of my major interests in the application...?</p>

<p>Or does it not matter? I'm writing the Macaulay Honors essay right now. The prompt is this:</p>

<p>Discuss some issue of local, national, or international concern and its importance to you.</p>
