Would it hurt me to go from AP English to Honors English 11?

<p>I'm currently in AP English Language but I want to move down to Honors English. The teacher is horrible and the class doesn't interest me at all and it's hard to focus in even though I have an A in the class.</p>

<p>I'm taking 3 other AP classes (US History, Human Geography, Environment Science) and Honors Alg 2 (taking PreCal at a local college this summer so I can take AP Calculus senior year). I'm looking to apply to USC, UCLA, NYU, Pepperdine, and UCSD. </p>

<p>Would you think it would look bad for these colleges to see that I took just Honors instead of AP English?</p>

<p>I think it would look bad. Colleges will not be given statistics on whether a teacher is “better” in an AP vs honors class, so they will assume that the AP class is more rigorous.</p>
