Would it look bad if I drop my College Pre Calc class?

I'm a HS senior going full time dual enrollment at the state college where I live, meaning I'm taking a full load of college classes. I have NEVER made anything but an A+ throughout HS even while taking honors, AP, or DE classes. I really don't want to get a B in my last yr of HS. I've got a 31 ACT and am applying for major scholarships at Mississippi State University, University of Georgia, and Tulane. I took College Algebra last semester and got college credit. So far I've had algebra 1, algebra 2, geometry, and college algebra. I thought I wanted to go into engineering so I am taking Pre Calculus this semester at college. I've now changed my mind and want to major in international business. I'm honestly pretty good at math, but I got a 97 on the first pre calc test, a 90 on the second one, and there are only two more and a final. I wouldn't be too worried but I'm SO lost on what is going on in this chapter and my professor also told us the final is a killer and many people don't pass. The deadline for dropping a class is in two days. I'm thinking about dropping the class because I'm really worried about my grade turnout. Here are my questions:

1) Will it look bad to the colleges and scholarships I'm applying to that I dropped it?
2)Will it look bad to the colleges and scholarships I'm applying to that I didn't take a math senior year (even though I've taken 4 maths already)
3) Do I need Pre calc as a International Business major?
4) If I dropped, will it look bad to colleges and scholarships that my only classes would be Principles of Mico Economics, Spanish 1120, and American National Government for this semerster?

Thank you so much and please help me. I've got to make a good decision fast.

So, when the going gets tough, the tough drop?

I’m not sure it will make a difference either way, so you can do what you want. But don’t look to us for a blessing if you want to drop, and with such a light load in your other classes. That doesn’t bode well for your future career.

Most business programs require a lot more math than most people realize, especially if you decide to go for an MBA. There are probably math-lite programs out there, but the more rigorous ones will require some heavy-duty math.

Thank you for your feedback, MrMom62. I will take it into consideration although I am by no means slacking or insinuation that when the “going gets tough drop”. I wouldn’t have worked so hard throughout highschool, be going to college my senior year of HS, or have studied hard to pull my ACT up 3 points so I qualify for more scholarships. I’m simply trying to make the best decision to protect everything I’ve worked for, including my GPA.

I’m afraid it might.

Precalculus isn’t a particularly advanced math class for a college-intending student, no matter where you take it. (And after high-school Algebra II, College Algebra should have been completely redundant.)

Also, if you’re planning to major in any kind of business, you should expect to take calculus.
