AP Biology
AP Physics B

Some people are saying that it's going to look bad to only take 5 classes instead of the normal 6.
HELP?

no it wouldn’t because your a senior and you should be able to do whatever you want. If the college doesn’t want you because you took five instead of six classes, then it’s not worth getting into.

I mean, I’m taking a Study Hall Senior year, which I think is justified since I’m in 4 APs, however, if its really causing you some concern, why not take a “joke” elective - my school is chockfull of them.

At my school you have 8 classes. Most people double up in sophomore and junior year and by senior year there aren’t many classes they HAVE to take to graduate. They usually take things like Office Aide or an Internship class to fill the holes.

My school full on forces kids to take the minimum amount of classes. Due to budget constraints, we can only take 7 credits a year maximum, even though there are 8 periods a day. And this includes online classes too. So you MUST have a study hall, or get “releases” so you can go home. They loveeeee when students take releases. I’ve had 3 all year, so I only go to school from 9:15am-2:00pm. This is completely normal at my school and people still have gotten into really good colleges.

I have 4 periods at school plus a community college class. It shouldn’t take anything away from your application, especially since they’re ap classes.
