Would Ivy's even take a second glance at me?

P.S. I am involved in many more clubs, but focused on the ones in which I held a leadership role.

What would be my chance at a university like Harvard, Brown, or Stanford?

You have low chances at Harvard and Stanford, but everybody does. Brown would be a better chance, and ivy like Cornell would be much higher. With your SATs and rank, they would definitely look at you.

bump 10 chars

bump 10 chars

I wouldnt see a reason as to why they wouldn’t look at you. You have a ridiculous number of APs. Im sure you’ll get into a few of the schools you are looking at.

chance me back?
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/726702-chance-rising-senior-very-awkward-situation.html

Please help me get somewhat of an idea here! I am scared :[

Why is this all hypothetical? Do you really have 2200+ on your SATs or is that what you hope for? Hard to analyze if nothing’s set in stone…

Yeah I agree with Xaari. The phrase “hypthetical situation” is never a good one, especially in regard to chancing threads. Even though your claims are not impossible by any means, I’m going to have to assume that you are either a rising sophomore or junior therefore you have no real basis for this information. However, on the lighter side of things, if you can acheive the goals that you stated, you will be competitive for the lower Ivies, and have a chance at HYPS.

But what makes you stand out from all the other applicants?

You are a valid candidate at any college. Many with your stats get into ivies, many don’t. Raising your scores would help, 2250 plus helps at non HYPS ivies, 2350 plus at HYPS.

After that it comes down to things like where you’re from (S. Dakota or small African nation a big plus, major US city or Asia a big minus), EC’s, recs, special abilities, essay.

Kids will pile on to tell you that you don’t have the ECs, but you havn’t given enough info. If as a club president you achieved something major, you’re on your way.
