Hi,
Firstly I would like to thank all of the people who contribute to this forum. I greatly appreciate your dedication.

Now to my question,

I'm thinking of finishing my all my pre-reqs for med school in the first two years, and taking the MCAT the summer before my junior year. I understand norcalguy did this and it went well for him. But my problem is that when I take the MCAT I will be missing Biochemistry, animal anatomy, and then the second physics class. My friends who took the MCAT say that taking animal anatomy will help you in the MCAT. Also another concern for me is the expiration of my MCAT score. Will I be able to apply for med school with my MCAT school if I stay another year in undergrad, making my time in undergrad a total of 5 years? Which will make my MCAT score about 3 years old.

I was just rereading this and noticed that I made a mistake: Anatomy's not a problem at all. That's not on the MCAT. Physiology is what matters; I got confused because many undergrads combine the two subjects into one course.

What type of Physiology is covered on the MCATS: human or animal? Both courses are offered at my university. To what extent is it tested and do you think it would be detrimental to not have had Physiology? Thank you!

wow you guys are amazing. I've find been searching for about a hour and couldn't find anything.

I'm currently a freshman at U of Mich- Dearborn and thinking of transferring to Ann Arbor- not because Ann Arbor is a "good pre med school." I just think academically there's a lot Ann Arbor can offer me. But, it is also far away and academically more competitive over there. So, I am stuck.

I have until Feb 1st to decide.

Thanks again everyone especially bluedevil and norcalguy.
