So the first time I took the SAT, which was in June, I got a 1740. I studied my ass off during the summer from books like barrons, mcgraw hill, and kaplan. Then I started to take CB Tests from the BB 2nd edition. Here are the results.
Practice Test 1-2150
Practice Test 2-1980
Practice Test 3-2020
Practice Test 4-2060 (1920-2190) averaged the range out.
Practice Test 5-2070 (1930-2200) averaged the range out.
Practice Test 6-1980 (1850-2110) averaged the range out.

Now I am up to Practice Test 7, which i haven't taken yet. I take the actual test on October 1st. Can anyone realistically predict yet what my actual score would be on October 1st right now? Or is it still too early? Will taking the next 4 practice tests help increase my score range from where its at now?

Not knowing how you follow up on test results it is hard to answer your question. My sense is that taking sample tests without extensive analysis of the results, and follow-up study and closure of knowledge gaps that the tests reveal, scores don’t improve. If you haven’t done so already go back to the 6 tests that you’ve taken and carefully review all questions that you found difficult (guesses, wrong answers, long time to answer) and carefully come to a conclusion as to what went wrong and what knowledge gaps these difficult questions expose. Work on closing the gaps, as with additional similar examples, text book review, etc. Work on adjusting your approach. Then take the 7th test, and repeat the process.

The answer to your question – assuming that you have already refined your test taking strategy is that you’re headed for a 2000. That’s a significant improvement from the 1740.

I go over all my mistakes and guesses after each test that I take, by using CB’s book owners area, which includes all the explanations. However, I keep constantly scoring in the range of high 1900’s to high 2000’s, and it stays like that. Do you suggest I go all the way back practice test 1-6 again, even after I told u that I go over my mistakes after every test? Maybe I am forgetting material…uhhhhhhhg. Thanks for your response by the way^

Well Hossain, ask yourself this. Do you time yourself 100% honestly? Do you not give yourself a couple extra minutes because on the real thing so or so wouldn’t have happened (Like your mom walking in on you to ask you about something)…I know I do lol…anyway…if you take the practice tests in realistic exam conditions, and grade everything according to what it is (And not according to what you would have done in the exam, which is not make that one stupid mistake etc)…then I think you could optimistically predict a score of 1900 and above.

Unless you have uncontrollable anxiety during the exam, in which case, you’ll **** up bad and end up with a 1700 or something. Exam conditions are nothing like the comfort of your house. And 25 minutes in the test, feels like 20 or less. It’s not the same. But yeah, optimistically, 1900 or above.

at what time do you guys suggest i go back to all the past mistakes and guesses for these 6 tests? After im done with the Blue Book or right now, and then continue on with Practice test 7-10?
