Would love some insight. Please help me out. Thank you

So basically guys this is it.

I am an international student who got accepted into UBC and Mcgill for engineering, and i simply can't decide between the two. Here is a comparison of how I see it

ACADEMICS
Although both are in the same tier, UBC is ranked slightly better for engineering. I've also spoken to two people who have visited these schools, and they say the quality of the program at UBC is better

PRESTIGE
Here, Mcgill wins, especially in Asia and Africa, Mcgill has a name. However, if I do grad from the US, i understand that both are recognized, UBC a bit more so in engineering circles. Is this correct?

LOCATION
I personally feel vancouver is a better place but my parents donot put much emphasis on this factor. :(

JOBS
I know getting off campus jobs is harder in Montreal. Is it true in Vancouver as well?

I might be leaning towards UBC but some people have even called me stupid in even considering UBC. They feel Mcgill is a much better choice since its international reputation is very high and its engineering almost at par with UBC. They say Mcgill will allow for more flexibility. IS this true. Can you please give me some insight to this topic

These are both large, impersonal public schools. McGill has a name because somebody named it. BFD.

How WELL you do at these schools will by far outweigh any minor differences between them.

If UBC is more appealing to you, you will probably be happier and perform better, so I would pick that one.
