Would MIT be offended if I said this?

Alright so I was told that it would be a good idea (if I get into MIT - which is faaaar way, atleast 2 years [Rising Sophomore]) to register at Harvard for Sanskrit classes.

Lets say I bring this up at an interview or something, would MIT think that I'm only applying to MIT to take courses at Harvard. Of course there are other reasons I'm considering MIT as well (IAP - OMG I WANNA TO BALLROOM DANCING!!!!, The Entrepreneurial Spirit, Hacks, UROP, Internships aboard, Pass/Fail, GIRs, the Culture at MIT pretty much).

Sorry this thing has been eaten me away

I don't think it would be a bad idea to mention that you're excited about the ability to cross-register because it would enable you to take Sanskrit classes.

I mean, for sure you want to talk more about MIT than Harvard in the interview, but MIT won't reject you just because you think Harvard is cool too. :)

Hey, the cross-registration program wouldn't exist if MIT didn't want it to. MIT isn't going to be upset at students for wanting to make use of its own programs. :-)

That being said.. Harvard and MIT culture seem to be very, very different, and it seems that some people at MIT hold a negative image of Harvard. It would be good to mention that you're interested in the cross registration program, but I don't think it would be terribly wise to elaborate on how amazing, awesome, wonderful, and incredible you think Harvard is.

Tengas cuidado, la mantequilla malvada est

Eh I'm not much of a Harvard person. I really wouldn't consider applying there (unless for like a MBA Program). I LOVE the culture and atmosphere of MIT, the only thing is my stats probbaly won't even be close to get considered for MIT!

Thanks
