Would one rec be enough .. or should I get 2?

Ok, here's the deal.
I have one teacher writing me a recommendation - a verryy good one.. like those "one of the best I've encountered" thingy. He'll basically talk about how diligently I worked and how I was the only person in like several years to work so hard on my homework, resulting in a perfect homework grade throughout the year. He used to be a lawyer and a college counselor, so he's a good writer..

My other rec that I'm not too sure I should get is my English teacher. He'll also talk about how hard I worked and how I used to see him after school for help on the SAT. He used to be my faculty adviser, and he'd talk about my college choices and my goal of medical school. He'll probably say good things about me .. but probably not "once in a lifetime" thing. He graduated from University of Chicago.

These recs are for out-of-state UT-Austin

It depends on the college. Some colleges only require one letter of recommendation.

^oh yea, it's for Texas only pretty much. They say Letters of Recommendation without specifying a number =]
