Based upon what you have presented, my guess is that you are most likely to end up at BU and least likely to end up at Columbia.

Not sure how ACT's correlate but you haven't reported SAT's and given your profile, my guess is that good scores will be important for you. I am aware of a "average white male" ranked 23rd out of about 325 with a 96 GPA who got in to Brown from Westchester last year ED - he also had a National Merit Commendation and 1490/2210 boards. If you have scores in that range, it would seem you have a shot at Brown early. If your scores are much less, probably not much of shot.

Absent a hook, Columbia would seem a big reach whatever your scores.

As for the others:

BU seems a match/safety
NYU seems a match
BC seems a match/reach

...but you never know either way unless you apply

As for your "passion", that should be evident by the multitude of your musical involvements and should come across as such in your application. The music supplement is typically for demonstrating exceptional talent, not passion. Make sure you know each school's guidelines for such submissions. Especially check at NYU if you aren't applying to Steinhart.

As I understand the general rule of thumb, you only want to submit a demo if the music profs/directors (not the admissions officers) will be impressed when they hear it. Be aware that it is likely (at least at Columbia and NYU) they will be getting demos from students also applying to Julliard and MSM and from those already playing in NYC Clubs.

Given your NYSSMA score, my guess is that the supplement won't help you when reviewed by the music departments. Only scores of 99 and 100 are considered for All State and on Alto Sax, those scores are a dime a dozen.

If I'm wrong, and you can produce a conservatory caliber supplement, then by all means do so - but at the same time, you should be contacting Chris Washburne at Columbia and the jazz directors at the other schools to see if it could work as a hook for you.

I applied early to Brown last year with higher numbers. I didn't have the music but I had a lot of math/science stuff. If you look at my location, you can infer my result.
