Would sending my NMSQT scores increase my chances at Texas?

<p>The National Merit Scholarship Corporation sent me a letter that told me to give the names of two schools that I want my PSAT scores sent to. </p>

<p>If I am a reach for UT right now will it help my chances of acceptance to send them my scores or would it be a waste of a submission that I could have used to help me out somewhere else?</p>
