The lack of APs junior year was due to the fact that my school only offers limited AP classes. AP Psych will not be offered until next year, and the only AP I didn't take was chemistry (we have just six). Spanish lit was not offered and I studied it all on my own.

For my essays I'm planning on writing about an article I did for my school newspaper junior year about teenage parents at my school, less about the academic journey and more about the personal journey I took bonding with the moms and how it made me more confident as a writer, stuff like that.

I don't think she hangs out around here... but, you know, if toast and Jell-o are good enough, why not CC? ;)

Yeah, I would think a 230 would do it.

And... wait... what colleges are you thinking about applying to? That's kind of essential when it comes to chancing people. It looks like you'd do pretty well in the admissions game at many colleges.

Oops, sorry about that, I kinda left out some crucial information in my hunt for an attractive thread title.

My top choice is definitely Yale. I'm also looking at Stanford, UW Madison, Northwestern, Wellesley, and maybe Harvard, I haven't visited there yet so I'm not really sure about the atmosphere. I have a double legacy at Princeton so I'm going to apply there too (mostly 'cuz my parents are really into me going there), but I'm kinda iffy about whether or not that's really waht I want.

My UW GPA is a 4.0 and I'm first in my class of 550. I got a 2280 on the SATs (720 M, 760 CR, 800 WR).

That's good. I got into Stanford with somewhat lower scores than that. And not as much EC involvement as you have. And way less volunteer work than you. And I was first in a smaller class than yours. And didn't take any college courses. And took the same number of APs as you have, but out of a slightly larger number to choose from.

Of course, I had things that you don't have... We're two different people, of course. :p

Just make sure your essay(s) is/are brilliantly enchanting and your recommendations are luminous. Good luck. :)
