would switching from calc BC to AB have any effect...

on my admissions? I'm a senior right now taking:

ap bio
physics b
ap human geog
ap lit
ap econ/ap us gov
newspaper hon
and of course calc bc

i'm finding bc to be out of my skill level so i'm considering dropping to ab... would this adversely affect my success in admissions or would it be a negligible change?

Possibly, as you wouldn't be taking the most rigorous courses then.

But honestly I don't think it would make or break your application anywhere.

If you feel you can get a (much) better grade with AB, and keep up in that class as opposed to BC, go with AB.

hmm, i was thinking it might not matter since i'm taking two ap hard sciences and still AP calc, just not bc. but i do see your point as well thats why im worried.
