Would taking a CC class the summer prior to transferring to a UC count towards your major prep?

Hi,

I’m dropping Gen Chem A this semester, so I’ll take it again in the spring. I’m planning on taking Gen Chem B the summer before I transfer. For Public Health, I need a whole year of chem. Would finishing up my Chem requirement in the summer count? Can I still apply to transfer?
