Would these schools be reasonable with my stats?

Top Choice: University of Illinois-Urbana Champaign (UIUC)
UVA
Virginia Tech
VCU
U of Michigan
Boston University

Hi! I am currently a junior in a competitive school in Virginia (saying this because my GPA is very deflated). I’d really like to get into an instate school, but I’m thinking about out of state like UT Austin, and Boston University.

Current Cumulative GPA (up till sophomore year)
WEIGHTED (5.0 scale) : 3.945
UNWEIGHTED (4.0 scale): 3.54

SAT (2400): haven’t taken yet but I’m anticipating above 2200
PSAT (2015): 1510/1520 (760 english, 750 math)
SAT II Math II: 770
SAT II Biology: 740
AP Calculus AB: 5
AP Biology: 3

Current APs: APUSH, AP Calculus BC, AP Macro/Micro, AP Chemistry
Senior Classes: AP Gov, AP Psych, AP Statistics, Geosystems, AP English Lang,

Extra Curricular:

  1. 2 summers in Internship at Science and Engineering Apprenticeship Program (SEAP), where I did my own research and helped out with my mentor’s as well. This was before my junior year and I am planning and coming back this summer as well.
  2. 2 years of Amnesty International Historian (junior)
  3. 3 years of Relay for Life
  4. 6 years of Model UN
  5. National Honor Society
  6. 10 years of Indian Classical Dance
  7. 7 years of piano

Yes.

UT-Austin is a reach for almost everyone who is not in the top 7% of his or her class at a Texas high school. Their automatic admission system fills up most of every freshman class, and competition for remaining slots is fierce.

Yes you seem like a great candidate for each of those schools.

Sorry, but I think the OP’s GPA is pretty low for a lot of these schools.

sat is not out of 2400 any more
