Would these schools be reasonable with my stats?

U of Michigan

UT Austin
Pennsylvania State University
University of Pittsburg

Hi! I am currently a junior in a competitive school in Virginia (saying this because my GPA is very deflated). I’d really like to get into an instate school, but I’m thinking about out of state too.

Current Cumulative GPA (up till sophomore year)
WEIGHTED (5.0 scale) : 3.945
UNWEIGHTED (4.0 scale): 3.54

SAT (2400): haven’t taken yet but I’m anticipating above 2200
PSAT (2015): 1510/1520 (760 english, 750 math)
SAT II Math II: 770
SAT II Biology: 740
AP Calculus AB: 5
AP Biology: 3

Current APs: APUSH, AP Calculus BC, AP Macro/Micro, AP Chemistry
Senior Classes: AP Gov, AP Psych, AP Statistics, Geosystems, AP English Lang,

Extra Curricular:

  1. 2 summers in Internship at Science and Engineering Apprenticeship Program (SEAP), where I did my own research and helped out with my mentor’s as well. This was before my junior year and I am planning and coming back this summer as well.
  2. 2 years of Amnesty International Historian (junior)
  3. 3 years of Relay for Life
  4. 6 years of Model UN
  5. National Honor Society
  6. 10 years of Indian Classical Dance
  7. 7 years of piano

Yes, reasonable.

CoEngineering may be an issue if you’re an Engin major.

TJ?

GPA might make it a bit tough for UMich, UT Austin and UIUC. Your ECs are really good, and if you do well in school and actually get a 2200, I dont think that you should face any difficulty in getting into other schools. Best of luck!
