Would they even consider me?

<p>Hey well my first post here so hello everyone..</p>

<p>anyways yeah I really have my eyes set on Boston U but I'm not too sure if my credentials are high enough to even be considered..</p>

<p>GPA-UW:3.33 W-3.54</p>

<p>Public High School
Rank:43/790</p>

<p>SAT- CR-580 M-600 W-500; 1680 ( horrible i know =| ) </p>

<p>Taking SAT subject in Nov and ACT this Saturday.</p>

<p>9 AP classes including this year.</p>

<p>EC's:
Editor of School Newspaper</p>

<p>Sports all 4 years (12th:Varsity Cross-Country, 11th: JV Track & Field, Cross-Country, 10th: JV Track & Field, Basketball 9th: Basketball</p>

<p>Multimedia Technology Club</p>

<p>Took an Art Class during my 9th and 10th grade years ( separate from school) </p>

<p>Work Experience:
Summer job as a tutor with Los Angeles Community College District</p>

<p>I'm from cali and hispanic...not sure if that makes much of a difference</p>

<p>Is there ANY way you can re-take the SAT, or perhaps take a Lit Sat II?</p>

<p>The problem areas are your SATs and your GPA (though it's really not THAT far out of their range).</p>

<p>Your [apparently] challenging schedule makes up for it though.</p>

<p>If you can afford to, I'd say retake the SAT or take a Lit Sat II, and go for it. What's the WORST that can happen? They not only reject you but forbid you from ever setting foot on their campus? :P</p>

<p>Yeah i am taking the English Lit subject test in nov...i still have a chance to sign up for the SAT in december which i probably will end up doing but I'm going to wait until after i take the ACT</p>
